“Snurk travel highly recommend! A+ company We spend an amazing 3 days in Amsterdam. Our tour guide was Alex. I would give him 10 stars if I could. He went above and beyond our expectations. Very knowledgeable in history of Amsterdam as well as the surrounding metropolitan area. Alex speaks excellent English and his desire for knowledge is admirable. I would highly recommend this company and Alex as your tour guide. Happy Travels everyone!” Laura, USA
“Christian was top class! We were blessed with a private tour for 2! He matched our vibe right away and he answered even the curve ball questions! Walking and talking is exhausting but we saw so much and learnt a lot! 👣 We tasted cheeses, learned history, walked almost 5000 steps, saw so many interesting things! Then after all that we sat and enjoyed a coffee while he gave up tips for dinner and more exploring! 😊” Natasja and Elizabeth, UK
"We recently went on a family tour of Amsterdam with the wonderful guide Yulia! At first, we hesitated, thinking our child might get bored, but Yulia made sure our son felt at the center of attention, even while the adults were discussing more serious things. We enjoyed it so much — definitely recommend!" Kate
"This is not your typical tourist agency - it’s a community of passionate enthusiasts. Kate is always attentive to the smallest details: signs, exhibitions, plaques. It’s this very attention to detail that makes her tours so rich and unforgettable, because behind each detail there’s a story - sometimes a local one, and sometimes a global one. I’ve joined five or six tours across the Netherlands with her agency, and I can confidently say that these tours are the perfect way to get to know a city, a country, its history, and the people who lived there in the past, present, and future. Highly recommended." Alexandra
“We are very grateful to Ekaterina! Incredibly lively, light and sociable! We didn't get bored for a minute during a trip around the city. If you want to immerse yourself not only in the historical aspects of Amsterdam, but also to learn the cool details of the personal life of citizens and the city - you just have to go on an excursion to Catherine! We will come back again and for new journeys only to her!” Paulina
"Arriving in Amsterdam and barely having time to look around, we immediately took a tour with Nastya to the northern side - and it was the best decision! Amazing impressions, fascinating stories, and unique spots we would never have discovered on our own. Biking turned out not to be scary at all - on the contrary, we fully experienced the city’s atmosphere and even felt a bit like locals. Highly recommended!" Maria
"After giving due credit to Dutch cheese and beer, we wanted to see something authentic in Amsterdam - something that hadn’t yet turned into a tourist hotspot. That’s how we met our guide Anastasia, who showed us the Jordaan. It’s a quiet, very cozy district of the city with a rich history, which Nastya shared with us masterfully. We stepped into a hofje - an inner courtyard with a little garden, where the vibrant abundance of plants was perfectly balanced by the absence of street noise and almost complete solitude. We admired candlesticks and glasses in a shop as if they were works of art, run by a very creative owner. The way Nastya spoke about the city - so emotionally and in such detail - revealed her genuine love and devotion to Amsterdam and its people. And of course, a person like that cannot help but plant the desire to return to the Netherlands again!" Julia
Amsterdam Travel FAQs
We have kids or older parents. Is it possible to tour Amsterdam with minimal walking?
Of course, we can do an overview tour of Amsterdam by car. Just keep in mind that we’ll miss the cozy courtyards and small alleys in the historic center, where tourist vehicles are not allowed. Another option is a combined tour: by car with short walking parts.
Sure. For the Van Gogh Museum and the Anne Frank House it’s best to let us know as early as possible. But even if you don’t, it’s not a problem. We can often arrange tickets at the last minute, which is one of our advantages.
Can you organize a private boat trip?
Yes, we can arrange a private canal cruise for you, with the option to choose the boat type, route, and duration. It’s a comfortable way to see Amsterdam from the water at your own pace.
...and we have even more answers to your questions before you go to Amsterdam:
Absolutely. Tell us your preferences and we’ll route your tour around trusted spots.
You can take a train from Schiphol to Amsterdam Centraal, then continue by metro or tram. Taxis are also available, or we can arrange a private transfer and meet you directly at the airport.
For parents, rainy days, or day trips (Zaanse Schans, Giethoorn), a car is comfy and time-efficient. In the city center, walking + tram is often quicker and more comfortable.
Simply tap your bank card on the payment terminal in trams, buses, and at the ticket gates in stations.
Taxis are easy to find, and both Uber and Bolt operate in the city. For short distances in the center, walking or tram is often quicker.
